The movie is expected to start on Netflix next week.
The studio said the Split film is a sequel to the 2010 film The Split, which was about a woman whose life is turned upside down by the death of her mother.
The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture, but lost out to the 2009 film The Silence of the Lambs.
